Here at Lighthouse, we are always active and engaged in the community where we exist. There is always an opportunity for you to get connected and serve our local community through our partnership with organizations such as Kids to Love, Lunches of Love, and many others.

The Kids to Love Foundation has grown to become a lot of things since it began in 2004 in founder and CEO Lee Marshall’s garage. Since then, Kids to Love has served hundreds of thousands of children living in foster care, putting clothes on their backs, getting Christmas presents under the tree and giving them scholarships for the next steps of their education. 

Kids to Love also operates Davidson Farms, a foster home for girls, the Whitaker Cottage Community for girls aging out of foster care, and our own licensed Child Placing Agency. It is also home to KTECH, a private school that offers job training in manufacturing, robotics, and more to young adults and people looking to make a career change.

Lunches of Love

The ministry to the Lunches of Love program at Lighthouse Baptist Church helps to provide weekend food bags to students at Madison Crossroads Elementary in the community each Friday. The bags usually include ready-made snacks, meals and drinks that the students can serve to themselves. The students are provided breakfast and lunch at school during the week, but the bag helps to sustain them over the weekend.

To assist with this ministry, our church family may consider donating the individually packed food items, monetary gifts throughout the year, or assisting this ministry team packing the bags.
